Question about training a dog?

I will always be a German Shepherd soon. I have a very good understanding of what it takes to train dogs. The German Shepherd is probably one of the most basic level of intelligence to train for them. I * can *, if my dog trained only on orders placed by my voice respond – not the voice of others. If I sit my dog, then sits during training, I will use positive reenforcement if he, if I tell him. If someone tells him to sit, and he does, I will not reward him. And I will repeat so often, this over & over until he understands that he needs to do when his owner, knows me, tell him to do so. Is this a good strategy or is there another way of training them to listen only to your commands? I think it could be a better Way to train him to respond to my voice only, because the method I explained that I think might / be confusing.

I'm not sure that your method would work. I have never tried something like you saying to obey but in my experience the best way to get a dog, you only binding closely with your dog and ensure that you are the only training there. How do you train a dog to not pull the leash on walks?

My dog get obnoxious when taken on walks so we had to stop taking her. she has become depressed and hides in corners of rooms and i think this was caused because she is never taken on walks. i feel so bad for her because she always sees my other dog get taken on walks and she never gets to go on any. i want her to be happy but i can never take her on walks. how do i train her not to pull on the leash and to be calm when taken on a walk?

When I’ve trained my dogs, I talk in a quiet friendly voice. I’ll start, with a short amount of leash so the dog is walking along my side, then stop and pull the leash back quickly – not hard or rough though; the dog will stop and I’ll release. When the dog stops, I give praise. Then say nicely, “OK, let’s go…” with some positive enthusiasm. Then will stop again, unexpectedly, but in a way that I’m very cool and in control since I’M leader of our pack. When the dog stops again, more praise. By three blocks, the dog should get it. By having full attention on the dog (no cell phones or distractions) decide that it’s your dog’s quality time with you and make it a special experience. Allow a time when you’re not feeling hurried.
