Question about training a dog?

I will always be a German Shepherd soon. I have a very good understanding of what it takes to train dogs. The German Shepherd is probably one of the most basic level of intelligence to train for them. I * can *, if my dog trained only on orders placed by my voice respond – not the voice of others. If I sit my dog, then sits during training, I will use positive reenforcement if he, if I tell him. If someone tells him to sit, and he does, I will not reward him. And I will repeat so often, this over & over until he understands that he needs to do when his owner, knows me, tell him to do so. Is this a good strategy or is there another way of training them to listen only to your commands? I think it could be a better Way to train him to respond to my voice only, because the method I explained that I think might / be confusing.

I'm not sure that your method would work. I have never tried something like you saying to obey but in my experience the best way to get a dog, you only binding closely with your dog and ensure that you are the only training there. I have always put great emphasis on bonding with my dog, if I get a puppy in the house, white I do not leave it for as much as a second of the first 3 days. This means that I take the puppy with me to the bathroom in the floor next to my bed at night, basically everywhere I go, the puppy is with me. Then I gradually start alone at home training and socialization. At the same time I show the puppy that they rely on me 100% and I want to protect them and pay attention to them. I also cover 98% of my dog's needs: food, play, my education, camaraderie, etc. In principle Dog I'm the best thing since raw liver. My problem has always been to get my dog to obey other people, and that is something I really had to teach her to do. It is is good that my dog does not obey a stranger, but I will obey my husband and my parents, who by their looks and then here. We have succeeded in their obedience get plane in the direction of my husband to about 90% – with my parents, it is still only about 50%, which is a little unfortunate, because it that my father does not trust her drained their line means. As the owner of a smart race, I only mean that intelligence is not a dog that learns quickly add, but that does not necessarily equally easy to train, especially for beginners. Novice dog owners usually have much more success training a Golden Retriever, as they do training a Border Collie.

Who is considered the best dog / puppy training facility?

Our 8Mo old puppy seems to have a very short span of attention span. We assume they the line to "potty" and if there is something or someone else around, she is distracted and does nothing. It can be a bird, a car, person or just sniffing in the wind. She has learned to obey "sit" and "Shake" (offering a paw) commands. Has not learned "down" or "stay". We think it is "ADHD". Any suggestions?

Puppies like babies have short attention span span. But you're smart, obedience training be considered. Find trainer who is an animal behaviorist, and you should be fine, no matter who you choose. Call your local vet's office to see if they can recommend one. I would stay away from PetSmart. I have the way they train and seen it is not the best. I have trained my two dogs when they were puppies. I took her every Saturday for an hour and it was great. I learned a lot. And depending on what type of dog you have, you can really really need the training. I have 2 miniature schnauzers, intelligent dogs are stubborn.

How can I prevent bed 2 male German Shepherd / Lab mix my dog jumping on my?

Unfortunately I am not changed by or put through obedience training now that we're on our son. I appreciate the importance of the two, but we do not have a penny to spare now. We had a great Suede couch cover to cover us with the mess they made the bed, but I fear it will destroy the well. The smallest, who actually was the runt of the Union gives us the greatest trouble. He is very dominant and not obey all the commands, unlike his brother who does. He knows commands, but only works if he also wants. I am at my wits' end because this is one of several problems we have with him. I tried directing his attention to other things like Toys, treats or play. I have tried to assert my dominance by lowering my voice and say no and to buy down consistently over many months. I have read, dog Books and other things but nothing seems to work. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I know I'll be a lot of thumbs down for To obtain this, but you've got to give the dog a good hiding place if he does so – at any time. He will learn, and no, it is not cruel, only to watch a mother dog disciplining hatching Oh for God's sake, why can never appreciate a lot that they are not dog people. "NEVER hit a dog 'my AR $ e! As if the poor woman has time to be lurking behind the sofa with a bloody citrus fruit or water was given. btw castration of dogs not keep them off the couch – at least only during his balls are still sore
