I think PetSmart signing my 3 year old dog up for obedience training …?

he simply can not hear. at all. unless I have to treat. do u think obedience classes will not help him if he is listening so deeply? he is a Chihuahua, and I will not kno she the best to train …. How obedience classes help? what is the difference between a pro, or jus am tempted to do it at home? My dog is shy around other dogs and PPL. be the on his education?

All obedience training is an advantage – it will only help you and your dog. One of the things that trainers teach you is how your dog listen to get. Going is great to a group obedience class socialization for the dog, and good information for you. Chis are intelligent, but they can stubbornly be. I have had several in my classes over the years, and their success in training (as with most dogs) really depends on the amount of work their owners shall into it. Professional trainers can demonstrate, different techniques that often makes it easier to detect than if you had just read in a book. Well, has effective dog training much to do with your timing – and the timing of the exercises is something that is easier to show someone, rather than trying to explain it in a book, website, etc. The principle Obedience classes that you take the dog, the trainer shows how to teach it a command, and you work there for a while – but most of the training is at home the rest of the week if you do not happen in class. You have to work every day on the training commit, not only in class. I really recommend classes, and not just because I teach them. :) You can try PetSmart, and maybe check to see if it provides a local dog training club in your area, the classes. Most of the Time, their 8-week courses are cheaper. Good luck!

Will my dog obedience class will be thrown out of the group?

We just adopted an 18 month old collie from the shelter. we think his previous owners never socialized him … he can not tolerate other dogs (or my cat). He is very sweet, but people. He growls and barks and snaps at other dogs. by the way he very unsafe, so I think that he is fearful of other animals. I want to go to group classes petco so the trainer can assess its aggressive behavior, but I 'm afraid the coach angry and kick us. Should I try to group lessons or not?

You need to get educated on this dog. To obtain a copy Petco evaluated, and try those classes, but you can do better with a little one on one training. However, he can still pretty young, so a little discipline, a long Way to go. Get him and evaluated him in some sort of training class ASAP.

Extremely protective GSD puppy?

I have a 5 month old GSD and he is very submissive to me and my family. He is very intelligent and stands through obedience training. I give him plenty of exercise every day and it's fantastic how he could walk with walking either beside me or behind me, not from me. If I give him a command, he is very attentive to me. The problem I have with it but when I take him for walks, he barks nonstop when someone us and the closer by the person running towards us, the madder he gets. I actually keep him so that he is doing to go to the stranger. It seems that only if we are on our daily walk. When I meet with him to dog parks, he does mind the people there, but he's pretty picky with other dogs. Some he completely ignored by sniffing and some bark he would do if they turn to leave, which we think is his herding instinct. Any tips and does anyone know a good behavioral scientist in Edmonton? Many Thanks!

If you can not conduct research, you can exercise with this problem: STEP 1 1 If possible, use a choke chain. If you are not familiar with it ask for help from your pet store or knowledgeable a person how to use a choke chain. If he had to walk with you to use without a problem, maybe you do not have to use a choke chain. She would go practice with your dog first. Pick only one side left or right all the time – preferably on the left. 2. Go with him about 15 meters to make a 180 degree turn and walk about 15 meters. You stop it 10 times or more (from time to time for about 10 seconds and say heel, he will stop by the heel, then on.) so that he will go to your page uses. They do this before you walk him wherever you go. Step 2 After Step one, go on it, wherever you put him. Remember, only one side of you, you should walk him. When walking him, and someone or something to go with you, he begins to act as you said, turn around and walk away. When he is calm, say good boy, and then turn around where you are going. When not on the same or any other person walking in the direction you go and reacts upon him. Every time he is, as before, but want the same again. For some it will work immediately, especially with a choke chain. Ask your veterinarian or someone from a pet store with great knowledge of choke chain if your dog is old enough. Your dog is still young, yes, like any child, short attention span. But constant proper training will teach your dog. You can – Woof! Woof! A training jumping and barking Puppy?

I have a 10 month old Boxer / Pit puppy. It is great for a puppy, weighing 80lbs. He has a Jump problem. He jumps on ALL! This is a really big dog jumped on the will. I need tips to train him to stop jumping. He also barks A LOT. More … Cats, chipmunks, our neighbor (bless her heart, I know it annoys them) … everything! If any help, please reply!

With goodies is stupid, because you begin to forget one day, treated or not have or something, and name the next time they will not forget them, not always the treatment and figure "why?" Clicker is just flat stupid – they are saying to people who are too stupid to figure out how quickly, "Good Dog" into a happy, excited voice -. I personally will not go around with a water bottle in my bag for the dog the life of another stupid fashion for owners who want everything to be simple if it is not. You always have your hands and your voice. Use them to stop jumping from any of the following: (1) A loud "No" and press it and hold it flat on the floor and scold him with "Bad, Bad Bath". Then tell him, "Okay," she let up and give her a Pat (If they jump again.) (2) A loud "No" and the time it so that he comes out of the ground, step forward and put your foot on the back Foot (3). A loud "No" and how he comes out of the ground, raise your knees so that he meets with his chest and bounced. move easily with a big dog forward in his room. Well, Boxer bark – that's what they do best. Of course they will bark when someone is at the door. They do their job and alerts you. They tend to the attention of all bred as guard dogs (pits, the area actually Stafforshire Bull Terriers are more laid back – they prefer to dig out vermin and caressed to get and if a burglar wants the silver, maybe he would caress, while he is there to.) you have tried other techniques, I would not with a electric go barking collar when the animal officer at the door with complaints or do you also sold. It is an absolute last ditch procedure before the dog loses its home (Or would you prefer to bleeding hearts go to the dog pound?) If you go straight to the collar, you have nothing if it does not work or they get used to it are. In 43 years of training, I just want to be forced to go neck to the electronic twice (very tall, had been found very stubborn dogs for work in distance I could not reach them if they do not follow a "down" or "go" or "hold" command.) Try it first. If it barking, to go and held him back by the arm. Place your hand over and around her mouth and, in a calm soothing voice, tell him: "Okay, thank you, now silent." If he tries to keep barking, tell him "NO" in a stern voice Hash and squeeze his nose. If he still tries to keep, press the side of the Muzzle – the skin in the mouth against his teeth and repeat NO. (Use a deep growling voice – let your voice go up, make it go down.) You do not stop until he does. Once he is finished, much, much praise in happy voice rubs with hugs and pets and belly. Do this every time he barks when you stop to it. Keep doing it until he "Okay, thank you" to the concept he should stop associate barking. (After all, you would him to bark, that if someone tried to break into the house, yes?) Also, take him to some obedience classes, no matter what his age when he was about 6 months. You get a nicer Animal, they are comfortable with the world and worry less about what culd be a threat, and inclined to bark at everything and he gets to obey the habit. If you do not pack it in no collar, was placed on him. If he would work a little puppy, a flat arch. With his size, you need a note from collar chain go to a chain slip collar. The nylon is not as effective and with the chain, the dog learns to listen for the rattle of the collar when the leash easily moved and now works. Properly installed, it should be 2 1 / 2 to 3 fingers of space between the collar and dog. Learn to use it. SNAP the collar – NEVER pull or drag. It is a quick jerk / release. Put it on your wrist and pull someone try and then snapping on you. They do it to someone else. If it feels like a slight bump whack or if the Leash ripped the idea. I always put the slip collar on your arm my students to show them the difference in the movement. Gets the number right down. Place the slip collar on the dog so turned at the junction of the rings can be found on the side of the neck of the dog, the part that slides is coming over the back of the dog's neck to you. Get a strong 6 ft leash – I like the way cotton webbed. Used it for years -. Yes it all works I weigh 98 pounds and I always get my way with dogs outweigh by 20, 30 or 70 lbs. An oh yes please, take both to obedience class. He is a big strong boy. Water King on a leash behind id not fun. to be able to tell him to sit / stay or Dow / stay will all be so much easier. stay round my house means "move at all if a bomb goes off -. Not optional "Big help corralling the dogs.

Special techniques for potty training dogs?

Sometimes my fiance and I go from state to visit my family at home and we watch his mother for our new dog enough to make him out to go to toilet, to. Our dog is 2 years old and he is house trained, but I wonder if there is a way to potty train him Indoors and go on to a particular area and if so, how is it done?

In some pet stores, you can actually buy dog litter. It is similar like cat litter, only much larger and thicker, often made from compressed newspaper. You only need enough to buy what in terms of size dog you. You can also Dog training pads, which I for my 2 dogs that I got at Wal-Mart. As for training, which can be hard, because the dogs are hard wired NOT go into the house, especially when I was told is that the house is bad. Try to get a small sample of your dog's urine, perhaps a grassy field, he's gone, and put it in the trash or on the pad, and show no interest in it. He had the feeling he's about to be punished if he do not even technically. Try to encourage him to Go where you want, and praise him when he does it. It can be very difficult for a dog inside, if it had not been trained to do go, but with patience and kindness, can It all just a train train dog.
