Would you trust your dog to complete strangers? How do you know your dog wouldn't be treated cruelly? Take the dog yourself to a good training class then you and the dog will learn together.

It does not work. The owner must train their own dog. I know this rich woman who had an uncontrollable pup.Sent it away for training a few times. That dog is a right mess. She has no control whatsoever. I happen to live next door to this silly woman. She should be put down. I am a dog owner myself. I've had a dotty Labrador, who I took to classes and that helped so much. Now i have a Border collie who also went to classes.Have had to stop due to my health ,in fact the dog was getting so nervous of some of the other dogs I couldn't hold on to her (v.bad back.)
You must train your dog .You are the pack leader not a stranger.

As Anwen says. You need training yourself how to handle your own dog. I guarantee that you will enjoy it and want to take it further. A lot of clubs do Good Citizen qualifications. Bronze. Silver and then up to Gold. Your dog will be socialised with others. You will make friends. A lot of people like training so much that they want to take it to the top. Where do all the Crufts competitors start? Right at the bottom, of course!
To put your dog in the hands of a stranger is not good and you will not know what your dog has been subjected to!
Agilitynet.com publish an A-Z of clubs

You sound too lazy to be bothered to train your own dog, give it to someone who isn't.

It is you that needs to train your dog. Building the relationship is the basis of any training. There are plenty of books at the library if you don't know where to start. Make the effort either by reading up or find a local dog training school where you both train together.... If you want a fully trained dog given to you on a plate buy a hamster

It would be much better for you and the dog if you take it to obedience classes yourself and learn how to train it. You will get so much out of it. It is fun and very rewarding to watch your dog learn not to mention a heck of a lot cheaper
