This lady doesn’t fully know what she’s talking about. “Blue Heeler” is a nickname for Australian Cattle Dogs. Also, they’re called Australian CATTLE dogs. They mainly herd cattle, not sheep. That’s why they have to be so much more robust than a border collie, they need to be able to handle a kick from a cow. And, I don’t know if the dog in the video is supposed to be a blue heeler or what… But that’s a border collie.
My Blue Heeler wants to herd everything even other dogs. She is really smart, a really good watch dog. No body will sneak up with her around. She is very loving and affectionate. She tries to talk to you and the other animals but she has to be reminded to be gentle with smaller animals. I think Blue Heelers are wonderful dogs.
I appreciate the tips. Good information. Take care!

Ummm, Australian Cattle Dogs aren’t even herding dogs, they are actually a driving dog-they weren’t intended to “round up” the cattle, so much as to push them across the outback-often in a straight line.
